Intro Thank you for your interest in SharkBtn, a powerful utility from Ludus Technologies! With SharkBtn, you can customize your Palm's buttons in any way you so choose! Make your Datebook button switch to the last app you were using, let your Jog Dial launch applications, make your Power button pop up the system command bar, or make typing in the semicolon (;) start your Launcher! It's all in your control. So grab your Palm, install SharkBtn, and start customizing away for a more enjoyable Palm experience! ------------------------- 2. Installation To install SharkBtn, just double-click the SharkBtn.prc included in this .zip and HotSync your Palm! SharkBtn requires Palm OS 4 or 5 and 82 kb of free RAM. ------------------------- 3. Features -Total customizing of your Palm's buttons -Make your Palm's buttons: 1) Launch apps, 2) Perform special functions (launch the last app you were in or power off your Palm, etc... (there are 11 in all!), 3)Masquerade as another button (i.e. make your Datebook hard key behave like your To Do hard key), 4)Macro (perform a number of functions automatically. i.e. open the Launcher before shutting down your Palm) -Speedy ARMlet capability for OS 5 (don't worry, it's not THAT slow on OS 4) -Simple, two-column user interface -Built-in search engine to save you time when you're on a customizing spree -First application of its kind (hey, that's pretty impressive considering there are thousands of Palm apps out there!) ------------------------ 4. Using SharkBtn To add a button and customize it: 1) Click the "+" button 2) Type in the button's name 3) Tap Train, then push the button you wish to add 4) Choose an action from the list at right 4a) If you choose :Masque, push the button you want to masquerade as 4b) If you choose :Macro, enter the sequence of events you want Find: Lets you find what you want more quickly Enable on Reset allows you to let SharkBtn re-enable itself when you perform a system reset (soft reset, not hard!) Enable/Disable: Honestly, if you can't figure this one out... Allows you to Enable/Disable SharkBtn on your system i: Pops up the Register screen ?: Pops up in-app help screen Menu->Options->ListApp Prefs: Lets you rule out apps from being launched by the :LastApp special function -------------------------- 5.
