Version Info ----------------------- 1. Introduction LudusW is a Treo utility that brings the two biggest features of the Treo 700w to your 650 or 600! SMS Response LudusW uses SharkMsg's industry-leading technology to respond instantly when you can't take a call. A simple, efficient text message is sent, signaling that you're busy or in a meeting. Microsoft said it couldn't be done by Palm*. But not only did we do it for you, it comes with extra features to get the most out of your smartphone. Features: * Personalized Response: Different responses for individual contacts means that you can let your boss know what you're working on and your family know you'll be home soon. * Wildcards: Let LudusW do the work for you. It automatically substitutes personalized information--first name, last name, or even company--from your Contacts. The response is individualized without taking up your time. * AutoSMS: In a meeting/concert/movie and can't take out your Treo? LudusW will send the text message as soon as Voicemail picks up, allowing you to leave your Treo in your pocket. Voicemail Pad (VMP) With LudusW's VMP, you no longer need to remember all those annoying voicemail key presses. Is 7 for delete? 9 for save, or is it 1? Don't worry, LudusW has it covered! Whenever you call Voicemail, you can pop up a pad with everything clearly labeled. Just the way it should be. Delete is delete, save is save. No more digit recollection required! Features: * Auto Password Entry: VMP automatically enters your password for you. * Presets: LudusW comes with presets for the major carriers built-in. * Totally Customizable: Change the buttons to suit your needs. Presets are only suggestions! ----------------------- 2. Compatibillity Treo 650 Treo 600 ----------------------- 3. Installation To install LudusW, just double-click the LudusW.prc file in this folder and HotSync your Palm. ----------------------- 4. User Guide LudusW has two sections: SMS and VMP. Use the Go menu to switch between the two. LUDUDSW SMS: Enabled: Sets whether or not LudusW SMS is enabled. Manual/Auto Dropdown: This sets the default action that LudusW SMS will take if you haven't set an exception for the caller. Here's a brief description of each choice: -Manual: All - Pops up the manual send form whenever you Ignore a call. -Manual: Mobile - Pops up the manual send form whenever you Ignore a call from a mobile number in your Contacts. -AutoSMS: All - Automatically SMSes every ignored caller. -AutoSMS: Mobile - Automatically SMSes ignored callers. -Exceptions Only: Action will only be taken for ignored callers whom you've specified in the Exceptions list. NOTE: If you choose one of the AutoSMS options, another dropdown will appear allowing you to choose which message to send automatically. Listbox: Shows all your messages. Add/Edit/Delete Buttons: Allow you to change add or delete your messages. Menus: Go->VMP will go to the VMP screen Options->Exceptions will pop up the exceptions screen. LUDUSW SMS EXCEPTIONS: SMS Exceptions let you specify custom actions for different contacts. Working with Exceptions is very straightforward: Use the list to add edit and delete them. On the Add/Edit Exception screen, just use the text field to enter in a number or use the ... button to grab a contact. Then, select the appropriate action from the dropdown box and you're set! LUDUSW SMS WILDCARDS: Wildcards allow you to enter variable names when constructing a message that will automatically be filled by LudusW when the message is sent. Example: in the message screen i type this: "Hey $first" then my friend named Joe calls, and i send him that message (either Auto or Manual). As long as he's in my contacts (which he is), he'll get this: "Hello Joe." Good news: if the caller is NOT in your contacts, LudusW will compensate automatically and put in a null string so they'll just get "Hey" You can just type these into the message editor, and when the message is sent they'll be filled in real time: (You can also access this list by tapping the info button on the message editor) $last: Last name $first: First name $company: Company $address: Address $email: Email address $main: Tel. number LUDUSW VOICEMAIL PAD: (VMP) LudusW VMP allows you to pop up a pad when you call your Voicemail with all the options like Delete, Save, Skip, etc... with big buttons that are easily finger-pushable, so you'll never need to remember any voicemail codes again. TO POP UP VMP, PUSH THE BLUE OPTION KEY WHILE ON A VOICEMAIL CALL. VMnum: The number you dial for voicemail. To let LudusW grab it for you, go to Menu->Options->Get VM Number Pass: LudusW will automatically enter your voicemail password for you. Just enter it in along with any confirmation key (i.e. #) Btns 1-9: These are the buttons that will appear on the pad. Fill them in order and LudusW will automatically adjust the pad layout to maximize button size. To let LudusW fill them in for you, goto Menu->Options and choose your carrier. When you call your voicemail you can hit the blue option key at any time to get the VMP pop up. If you specified a password, it will be entered for you automatically. Use the onscreen buttons to send commands to your voicemail. Additionally, you can use the hardware keypad on your Treo normally with VMP popped up. Tapping Done or pressing the blue option key while VMP is up will make it disappear. To get it to reappear, just press the blue option key at any time during the call.
